Are you interested in joining the Circumpolar North Fiction and Poetry Reading Group hosted by the Centre for Indigenous and Settler Colonial Studies (CISCS)?
The group will meet online, beginning in November 2026, to discuss 6 texts by Indigenous writers across the Arctic. We typically aim to meet once per month.
Open to academic and non-academic, specialist and non-specialist audiences, this reading groups shifts geographical focus each academic year, and aims to provide a welcoming and collaborative environment to discuss contemporary writing by Indigenous authors.

Taaqtumi 2 – A horror Anthology comprised of stories from various authors such Inuk writers Aviaq Johnston and Jamesie Fournier
Crimson by Niviaq Korneliussen (Kalaallit)
White Moss by Anna Nerkagi (Nenets)
With Snow Pouring Southward Past the Window by Joan Kane (Inupiat)
The Home of the Drowned by Elin Anna Labba (Sámi)
