On 30 May at 4pm BST, Dr Mary Burke will discuss her new book, Race, Politics, and Irish America: A Gothic History, which explores the Irish-American identity within the American context of race.

Drawing on this background, she will also consider some of the main differences she has found between Irish/UK and US institutions and postgraduate programmes.
