The Department of History at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of History to begin in the fall 2027 semester. Research and teaching expertise should focus on the history of the United States in the nineteenth century. Job duties will include teaching United States history courses in support of the university’s core curriculum, upper-level courses for the department’s robust undergraduate programs, and graduate-level courses in public history as needed. The candidate will also conduct and publish research commensurate with the department’s expectations for tenure and promotion and perform service according to the needs of the department, college, and university.
