The association of British Americanist Nineteenth Century Historians (BrANCH) welcomes registrations for their 31st Annual Conference at Madingley Hall, Friday 4th to Sunday 6th October, 2024.

The conference programme contains an variety of excellent panels, roundtables, and workshop sessions. Professor Nick Guyatt (University of Cambridge) will deliver Friday evening’s Peter Parish Memorial lecture on ‘“A thoroughly adaptive and amoral public figure”: Thomas Jefferson and 2026.’ Professor Hilary Green (Davidson College), will deliver our Saturday keynote, ‘Towards a New Future in Civil War Memory Studies.’
