Survey on researcher careers in SHAPE (Social Sciences, Humanities and the Arts for People and the Economy) disciplines

opportunities

As part of a major project investigating research careers in SHAPE disciplines (Social Sciences, Humanities and the Arts for People and the Economy), the British Academy has commissioned the Careers Research & Advisory Centre (CRAC) and Vitae to explore professional and research identity and mobility across these disciplines in higher education and other sectors. The findings of this survey will be highly valuable as they will enable the Academy to build and convey a clearer picture to government and other policy makers of (a) what people who conduct research and/or use research skills within and from the SHAPE disciplines actually do, and (b) how to support meaningful, diverse and sustainable careers in research-related careers from these disciplines.

For further information about the project and to access the survey please use this link SHAPE research careers survey — Vitae Website

The survey will close on 26 February 2024. Please do respond as soon as possible. The more responses we get, the more robust and valuable our results will be. So please also forward this invitation to others you think are in scope and might be prepared to respond.
