SASA 24th Annual Conference - March 4th

conferences

The Scottish Association for the Study of America (SASA) was formed in 1999 to encourage the study of North America in Scotland. This year, SASA’s annual one-day conference will take place at the University of Glasgow in the Wolfson building, on 4 March 2023. We will also be holding a special postgraduate workshop the day before (registration for this is free, but separate to the conference).

As ever with SASA, our conference this year is broad and open to researchers at all levels, with papers reflecting the many different and exciting themes of study currently being undertaken in the fields of American studies, history and literature. We’ve got a packed programme of great speakers and panels through the day, along with our annual AGM.

Full details of both the workshop and the conference programmes and agendas will be available soon – please head to our Website: scotamstudies.org, Twitter @ScotAmStudies,and Facebook page for updated programme details. As with previous years, the fee includes entry to the conference, lunch and refreshments, and annual SASA membership. Registration and payment must be made in advance.

The conference registration fee is as follows: £15 – All students (Undergraduate, Masters and PhD) and Early Career Researchers & £25 – All University Staff or Professional Attendees. There are also a limited number of free tickets available for current students at the University of Glasgow.
