Editorial Pieces Wanted for New London Production of Arthur Miller's 'The Price'

opportunities

We are currently seeking editorial pieces to be included in our programme for a new production of Arthur Miller’s classic play ‘The Price’ at London’s Marylebone Theatre. The production will star two-time Olivier Award-winner Henry Goodman in the iconic role of Gregory Solomon, and is directed by Olivier Award nominee Jonathan Munby.

As well as academics, journalists and writers with a particular interest in Arthur Miller and 20th Century American drama, we would be keen to here from researchers of the wider socio-economic and political culture in which Miller’s work was created. In particular we would like to include pieces on the following topics:

  • Biographical writing on Miller and his life and activities around the time he wrote ‘The Price’
  • Post-crash, Depression America and the parallels with post-covid Britain.
  • America at war and the cost on society, especially given the war on Iran and Miller’s response to Vietnam.

The expectation would be for pieces of anywhere between 750 – 1500 words, and we would be happy to receive either previously published or newly written work specifically for our programme.

All pieces will need to be completed and ready to be included in the programme by Wednesday 8th April.
