On Thursday 11th December, Dr. Tim Galsworthy will deliver the Annual History Lecture at Lincoln Bishop University. In this lecture, Dr. Galsworthy will discuss the key findings of his new book The Republican House Divided: Civil War Memory, Civil Rights, and the Transformation of the GOP. He will offer insights into the relationships between the Republican Party and Civil War memory during the civil rights era, as well as the changes wrought in the Grand Old Party in the last 60 years.
This event will take place in the Hardy Lecture Theatre at Lincoln Bishop University, between 5:30pm and 7:00pm. It is free and open to all to attend – students, staff, and the public.
